As a versatile musician, he plays piano, guitar, and oud, and composes in a wide range of styles including orchestral, jazz, Arabic and electronic music. Prior to his film scoring studies at UCLA, Itay graduated cinema studies with honors for his film scoring work at the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, then continued to score theater productions during his three years of mandatory service.
